Award-winning off-site construction specialist and Portakabin subsidiary, Yorkon, has launched a new guide to off-site construction on the internet. The website is designed to give architects, contractors, consultants and construction clients a fast and efficient guide to modular building and the Yorkon approach.

The site, www.yorkon.co.uk, demonstrates how off-site construction can provide quality building solutions and Yorkon’s extensive track record in delivering exciting, imaginative architecture – on time and on budget.

Features of the new website include sections for healthcare, education, office, retail, transport and pharmachem professionals, the latest news, innovations and images from Yorkon, and details of the full range of services available – from finance and design to manufacturing and project management.

Further developments of the website will include a downloadable Design Guide available later this year which will contain practical advice to help architects and contractors work with off-site construction and the Yorkon system.

The site also has the facility to sign up to Build Connections, a newsletter featuring the latest industry news and copies of the new Yorkon DVD to illustrate how off-site construction can be used in the healthcare sector can be requested online.

Yorkon, winner of the Off-site Specialist of the Year Award for the third consecutive year, has pioneered the use of off-site construction in every sector for more than two decades. More than 70 per cent of its business is now from past customers – a significant endorsement of the Yorkon approach and building system.

Research has also shown that Yorkon has delivered 96 per cent of all its building projects on time and 94 per cent on budget over the past five years – well exceeding construction industry averages and giving clients complete peace of mind and reduced risk.
