DMC Software helps UK Biobank use Microsoft SharePoint to deliver biomedical data to scientists
To achieve the UK Biobank’s requirements for sharing its database of health data, DMC Software has integrated SharePoint with the Sage 200 Suite to create an online portal where researchers can submit requests for data to support research projects. From the SharePoint portal information is automatically populated within Sage 200 CRM where the data applications are approved and automated workflows are utilised to project manage the release of data. Dr Tim Peakman, UK Biobank Executive Director, said, “DMC Software has played an important role in developing systems that will enable scientists around the world to access this unique research resource. The tools developed in collaboration with UK Biobank will enable scientists to register to use the UK Biobank resource and manage their application through to its successful completion. The systems will ensure that all applications are managed efficiently in a transparent way, they comply with the UK Biobank access procedures, meet the terms of the participant consent and the requirements of the funders.” Thomas Pleasance, Senior Developer at DMC Software said, “DMC was delighted to work with UK Biobank to help them build a system and CRM framework to allow medical researchers to request information from UK Biobank’s unique database that will help so many people in the future.” About UK Biobank About DMC Software For more information please contact Jade Dixon-Winters, Marketing Manager.
