Online travel agency Freedom Direct has seen a rush on early bookings for Egypt and the Red Sea resorts, particularly Sharm el-Sheikh, as holidaymakers follow their advice to book early for the best holiday bargains.

Analysis of bookings for winter sun holidays since the start of August shows a surge in bookings for holidays in Sharm el-Sheikh and other Red Sea resort during the winter months.
